Marilyn Massey entered eternal rest, surrounded by loved ones on November 28, 2021 at her home in Canyon Day, AZ. She was born on August 4, 1950 to Nelson Edwards and Agnes Thompson. Marilyn grew up in East Fork, AZ, and attended East Fork Lutheran and Sherman Indian High School. She married Floyd Massey and had 4 children and many grandchildren. She worked several jobs and ended her career with Chaghache Day Care as a teacher’s aide. She loved reading her Bible, travelling, and spending time with family.
Marilyn leaves behind her husband: Floyd Massey; daughters: Anita Joy Burnette, Bernadine Mitchell and Darilyn Massey, one son: Craig Massey Sr.; one brother: Kino Torino; one sister: Olive Thompson and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, god-children, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by mother: Agnes Thompson; step-father: Rubert Thompson; aunt: Susie Benashley; uncle: Alexander Bush; father: Nelson Edwards and god-son: Justin Littleman.
A wake will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 10 am at 409 West Street in Canyon Day, AZ. The Funeral will be at the Canyon Day Miracle Church on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 1pm. Interment will be at the Canyon Day Cemetery in Canyon Day, AZ.
